Sask Athletes Medal at 2013 Junior Canadian Championships

Congratulations to Danielle Drury, Tanner Prentice, Graham Frattinger, Cassie Prentice and Ian Frattinger who are all returning home from the Racquetball Canada Junior National Championships with medals.  Congratulations also to coach Rob Barclay who was the coach for the Saskatchewan team at the national championships and to all coaches who worked with the athletes over the past season.

Danielle Drury won bronze medals in both the 16 and 18 & Under girl’s singles events. Tanner Prentice teamed up with Anthony Schonberger of New Westminster, BC to win bronze in the 18 & Under boy’s double event.  Graham Frattinger won silver in the 16 & U boy’s double event with partner Connor Madill of Brandon, MB.  Cassie Prentice won gold in the girl’s 12 & Under singles event and Ian Frattinger also won gold in the boy’s 12 & Under singles event.

Finalists in the 14, 16 and 18 & Under age groups will make up the team which will represent Canada at the International Racquetball Federation Junior World Championships which will be held this October in Bolivia.  An announcement about the team will be made in the next few days
