Cassie Prentice of Macrorie was named to this year’s Junior National Team named by Racquetball Canada.
Results from the Canadian Junior Championships held last week in Valleyfield, QC were used to determine the selection of the team. Athletes named to the team are given the opportunity to represent Canada at the International Racquetball Federation World Junior Championships or another major tournament. As well, many of the Canadian Sport Centres provincial affiliates provide training and competition support to the athletes named to the junior national team.
Ian Frattinger of Martensville did not compete at the Junior Canadian Championships this year due to a conflict with a school trip. This means that Frattinger will not have the opportunity to represent Canada at the Junior World Championships.
