Racquetball Canada has announced that the 2022 National Championships will be held in Brossard from May 24 to 28, 2022. The tournament is being hosted by Racquetball Québec at Sani Sport Brossard.

The 2022 championships will be the first chance to bring players of all ages and skill levels from across Canada together for a national tournament since May of 2019. We have used the time away from active competition to take positive steps forward, including the completion of a competition review. This, combined with recent scoring and rule changes, allows for improvements to the format for nationals that will increase the opportunity for a better competitive and social experience and remove some of the barriers to participation.

The overall goal is to amplify meaningful competition. Highlights of the changes include:

An exciting change for junior age athletes is that there will now be a 21 and Under age division. This change comes as a result of the International Racquetball Federation’s decision to add this age division to the Junior World Championships. It’s a very positive step forward for the development of young athletes.

We will announce when the official registration site is launched. The site will include full details on the tournament format as well as parameters about the age and skill divisions. Host hotel information will also be made available shortly!

We hope to see as many Saskatchewan players in Brossard this May as the racquetball community comes together to celebrate our return to sport and to champion changes that will help our sport rebuild its foundation across Canada.
