This funding comes to the organization through grants from Sask Sport and the Sask Lotteries Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two sources of funding:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Support for those qualifying for Provincial &nbsp;Team status. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/racquetball-canada\/app\/uploads\/saskatchewan\/2020\/02\/29110001\/Provincial-Teams-Program-vs03-October-2017.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;for complete information about the Provincial Team Program.<\/li><li>Support for athletes striving for National Team status. <a href=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/racquetball-canada\/app\/uploads\/saskatchewan\/2020\/04\/23104450\/Athlete-Assistance-Program-vs06-October-20191.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Click here<\/strong><\/a> for complete information about the Athlete Assistance&nbsp;Program.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other Saskatchewan Racquetball Association Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those attending the national championships who do not qualify for provincial team status may also be granted assistance. This is a decision made by the board on a year by year basis pending the number of high performance athletes receiving assistance and the number of others competing in provincial and national events in that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: There may be errors in the above information as our new website is launched. If there are discrepancies between the information provided on the website and the linked Provincial Team Program and Athlete Assistance Program documents, the documents guide all decisions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sask Sport Athlete Assistance&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The following programs are administered by Sask Sport and provide funds to national level athletes or those who have the potential to become national level athletes. These programs are supported by Sask Lotteries Funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Saskatchewan Program for Athletic Excellence:&nbsp;<\/strong>The Saskatchewan Program for Athletic Excellence provides additional direct financial assistance to Saskatchewan\u2019s High Performance Athletes who are carded at the national level by Sport Canada. Sask Sport works with the Saskatchewan Racquetball Association to identify carded athletes.<\/li><li><strong>Future Best:&nbsp;<\/strong>Future Best supports the developmental needs of Saskatchewan athletes who have been identified by the National Sport Organization (NSO) as clearly demonstrating the potential to become a national senior team member and those who are seriously committed to attain this status through intense training, technical development and competitive success. The Saskatchewan Racquetball Association identifies potential athletes based on the Sask Sport Future Best criteria who are then invited to apply to Sask Sport for Future Best Funding.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Athletes qualifying for for Future Best Funding based on 2019 results have not yet been announced. Saskatchewan Racquetball Association athletes supported for their results in 2019 were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cassie Prentice<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Athletes qualifying for national teams may be eligible to become members of the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.csc-sask.ca\/athleteServices.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan<\/a><\/strong>. &nbsp;For further information about becoming a member of the centre contact Debbie Frattinger (Board of Directors).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sport Canada Athlete Assistance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>National team athletes may be eligible for funding and support from Racquetball Canada and through the Sport Canada Athletes Assistance Program.
