Following the Provincial Championships held May 1-3 in Regina, SK, 8 athletes qualified for the Elite Provincial Team which will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian National Racquetball Championships May 17-23 in Burnaby, BC.
The team is comprised of 5 male and 3 female members: Tim Landeryou, Christine Richardson, Danielle Drury, Nathaniel Husulak, Lee Connell, James Landeryou, Linda Ellerington, and Chris Exner. Tanner Prentice, who just completed his last year of Junior eligibility, qualified for the team but is unable to attend Nationals due to illness. We wish him a speedy recovery.
The National Championships begins this Sunday with doubles, which runs until Tuesday, and the singles competition begins Wednesday and runs until Saturday. We wish all our athletes the best of luck!
